My Favorite Things

Giving gifts is probably one of my favorite things, but I realized I only enjoy it if I feel like it’s a good gift.

I really try to give gifts that the person would actually want, and because of this, I find myself often stressing out so much that I end up putting too much pressure on myself and end up getting a gift card (eye roll right?).

I always love a good gift card, but sometimes it just feels impersonal.

I’m going to a gift exchange with some of my friends, where we bring our favorite things to exchange Dirty Santa style. Honestly, when I heard what we were bringing I felt so much excitement and relief.

It eliminated the pressure to try to figure out my friends and family’s different interests and decide, “Does this person already have this? Would they even want this? Would they think this is stupid? What size do they wear? Do they even like this store?”

It was then I realized, why don’t I do this more often? What is so bad about saying, “I like this, so I think you would too?”

WHAT I INCLUDED IN MY FAVORITE THINGS:
1. Living Proof Dry Shampoo

Honestly, I’m a person who hates the feeling of a lot of product in my hair and I cannot stand when my hair is greasy. I got to the point where I was so sick of washing my hair every night that I felt like I need to do something different. I gave Living Proof’s Dry Shampoo a shot and I was HOOKED. I put it in my hair at night before I go to bed, and in the morning, it feels like I washed my hair without making my hair feel grimy or heavy from product.

2. Barefoot Dreams Socks

I mean really is there anything better? Cozy socks have always been one of my favorite things and when I tried Barefoot Dreams… nothing better. Instantly hooked.

3. Gold Hoop Earrings

I wanted a classic, everyday earring that I would feel comfortable wearing to work or being able to slightly dress up any outfit. I found these and they are such a perfect size- not too big or small. Such a great staple that I felt like anyone could use!

4. Capri Blue Volcano Candle

If you know.. then you know. ALWAYS a great gift option and I love the mini size to include in gifts. So many color options, but I loved the pearly glass.

5. Makeup Sponge

Okay is this not the most gorgeous blender sponge you’ve ever seen?! I am obsessed with mine and knew that I wanted to gift this one as well.

6. Glossier Balm Dotcom

If you have not tried this… you need to! It’s mix between a super hydrating chapstick and a light lip gloss. I’m obsessed with both the mint and the rose flavors. The rose has a slight pink tint to it that adds a little bit of color. The mint is super refreshing and has a cooling sensation which feels amazing when my lips are chapped. Obsessed!

From now on when I’m feeling super stuck on what to get someone for Christmas, birthdays, holidays, you name it.. I’m just going to try to take a deep breath and think about what I would want!
There’s a reason I love it too 🙂
